GD Serio

GD Serio is Gärde Design’s take on a classic serif typeface in the vein of Caslon and Baskerville.

I was tasked with finishing the Regular, which was mostly done and already had both a Display and Text cut, by the time I joined the project.

The italics were designed by me. As you would expect given the style, many characters are completely different from their upright counterparts, and some of them have swash variants for when you want to look fancy.

GD Serio is sold at GD Foundry.
