Vattenfall Hall

Vattenfall is the largest power company in Sweden, with presence in several other European countries. Their bespoke typeface Vattenfall Hall was part of a brand identity developed by Nord ID which marked Vattenfall’s shift to fossil free power.

Martin Andersson provided the initial sketches which we at Kid id (formerly Familjen) developed into a full-fledged font family with five weights, including italics and small caps.

Unusually for a sans serif, we also designed a Display Bold that makes it easy to create professional-looking display typography, with no need for tracking or kerning.

Vattenfall Hall is a modern, Scandinavian take on the sans serif, embodying precision, confidence, and engineering.
